  1. THE DEMO TEAM HAS BEEN RELEASED!!!

    What is the demo team?

The demo is a group of selected moderators that have been tasked to destroy old structures that look deformed or have been abandoned.

Why do we have a Demo Team?

The staff decided that we do not want to have to reset the servers all the time because the servers get overloaded in old structures. so a solution was to have a group that would get rid off these old structures.

    More info on Demo Team.

The Demo Team has a very specific set of rules and guidelines that they must follow here are some that may affect you:
    1. If they Moderator is about to do some demo work they are to announce in the world chat so that you guys are aware of their presence.
    2. If you base looks like is has been raided and you want to keep it then you need to contact them so that your base does not get blown up.
    3. If your base is blown up please post on the fourms and I will deal with it.

If you have any more questions feel free to comment below or find a staff member on our TeamSpeak 3 Server.

  2. Woo happy times. Maybe we will see server latency decrease? Still happy.

  3. From a totally clean game server to one with bases -- there is no way to prevent increasing lag. A large part of the issue is the way the game server and client show or hide structures based on distance. The server and client still communicate information on ALL of the barricades/structures whether you can see or intact with them or not.

Once structures are built and around for a period of time a clean server should stabilze at a certain amount of lag. It still might be unacceptable at times like during a full moon. Some of this is beyond a server host's control. However, the griefer plates that number in the thousands and that currently add unacceptable lag to the game, will be going away. Having the ability to clear these in a prompt manner should make the servers a >little< smoother. Keep your fingers crossed. ;)
